INTERGENERATIONAL HEALING

A trail of tragedies followed me all my life beginning with the passing of my father in World War II, then a younger brother’s passing as an infant while I was still too young to understand why all this is happening.

It wasn't until my Mom’s passing in 1977 when doors began to open into the mysterious world of the Almighty. Upon hearing of the opening of the St. Joseph's Prayer Center and the prospect of learning about the healing ministry, my interest was piqued in that it might offer a glimpse into the unanswered questions of my past.

The answers were found in the coming years of ministry with various persons of similar backgrounds. Not only was I able to assist others in their journey, but I began to see how the Lord would reveal areas in my own life that would bring about the answers that I was seeking and consequently being healed.

One such instance came during an Intergenerational Healing Mass celebrated by Fr Wheeler in Kings Park. Some months prior I had suffered a miscarriage and was unable to have closure. This event came at a time when I was under a doctor’s care. There came a time when surgery was necessary. Afterward, the surgeon confessed he had found evidence of two fetuses.

It was during the Intergenerational Healing Mass that I was able to not only baptize my babies, but to name them as well. Teresa and David.

Eventually, the initial ministry would lead me to ask of the Lord what specific ministry did He have for me. The answer came upon awakening one morning when, in a vision, I saw a young woman. I asked who this was and He said “It’s Jessica and I want you to baptize her baby who had been aborted and had no name”. I followed His instructions very carefully and watched the scenario of the baptism unfold in Heaven as the baby was offered to the deceased mother, then to the father, and then offered to the Heavenly Father from whence the baby came.

Since then, the Lord would send me women in similar predicaments for their babies to be baptized and named and given back to the Father. This is truly a rewarding experience to be cherished.

I am truly grateful to Fr. Wheeler and Sr. Dymphna for their courage in establishing the St Joseph Prayer Center as a much needed avenue in the healing ministry.
