Sagrado Corazón de Jesús y María Prayer Center. Queretaro, Qro., Mexico

The "Sagrado Corazón de Jesús y María" Prayer Center is a meeting place that we have constructed with love, in community, where we praise God, we pray, and we study to give him all his Glory.

We open our doors to all those in need, since the Lord has sent us to work with wounds, we bandage broken hearts through the ministry of inner healing.

We accompany individuals, families, and religious, who require it, along their lives to find themselves through growth, with the merciful and healing love of Jesus who heals their wounds. This is carried out through courses, workshops, seminaries, individual therapy and personal processes

In 1982, My husband and I had began to form our family, we had a two year old daughter and I was pregnant with my second son, Alonso, who was born with a heart condition and lived only three months. He did not resist the long heart operation. My heart was destroyed, and invited by a friend, I began to attend the weekly meetings at Parish “Santa Cruz del Pedregal” directed by Father Msp. Anselmo Murillo. Having been a student of Father Salvador Carrillo Alday for many years and having seeing that they were also Misssionaries of the Holy Spirit in that parish, I began to take courses and workshops in life in the spirit given there.

Little by little I got involved and I began loving the work that was carried out there, I met the directors of the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Prayer Center, to which I belonged but was not founded because they held courses and workshops at the parish. Later, María Esther and Elia Baretche Pous, founded the Center where I began my formation and later gave my services to.

As a family with three children we decided to come live to Querétaro and my greatest loss was leaving the Prayer Center. I prayed for some years and at a workshop on Interior focus given by Father Edward MacMahon, S.J. and Father Peter Campbell, S.J. in Querétaro, providentially during a conversation with María Esther the idea of founding a Center in Querétaro came about.

In 1994 I began with a small community to pray and hold workshops, a community which continues. We get together every Monday to pray and study. I also continued to study to become a therapist, a thanatologist, and other specializations. From that time on we have not stopped the beautiful Mission that Lord Jesus has given us serving the community within our possibilities.

I adore this work and I do it from the bottom of my heart with deep gratitude to God who gave me life and allowed me to exist day to day, I live it out as my true vocation and it gives all the meaning to my life.

At present we have formed a group of people with service vocation in the Prayer Center Sagrado Corazón de Jesús y de María in Querétaro.

The board is made up by the following persons:

MISSION

At the Prayer Center of Sagrado Corazón de Jesús y de Maria, our mission is to bring people through a process of conversion towards Jesus so they can be healed and comforted by his mercy, within a personal healing process while accompanying them spiritually and therapeutically with workshops for growth, all aiming to heal the wounds, the personal history, and being transformed by Jesus’ unconditional love.

VISION

We visualize ourselves as a self-sustaining Prayer Center recognized by the Vatican, which contributes to the formation of a healthier society, conscious of their mission and responsibility as children of God, favoring positive relationships, according to the will of God, united to the Heart of Jesus and Mary.

WORKSHOP

As a community we are dedicated to the service of our peers and the fruits and gratifications we have seen throughout life have been countless and priceless. Lives and families change and are transformed little by little through the light of Jesus Christ. People are able to live a better life with basis for health and personal relationships and to construct functional families who have our Lord Jesus Christ in the center. Needless to say it is the best payment we can have as a community in the walk of life.
We also help Priests and religious in their healing process and we hold courses, workshops and seminaries where we are asked.
